Environmental Assessment

This service will be crucial if your proposed land purchase is adjacent to a marine or a freshwater habitat, or near other sensitive areas such as habitat for species-at-risk. Origo can provide you with a regulatory summary of the development options for the land, and will you advise on riparian setbacks and other factors that might affect future development permitting or the location of permanent structures and pastures.

We can also undertake a more in-depth environmental assessment and an Riparian Areas Regulation (RAR) Assessment that would be filed both with the Province and the appropriate district for development planning purposes.

We see this as an extension to a property inspection or survey report, offering you piece of mind on your land purchase.

Hydrology and Water Well Services

If the property has an existing water well on it, we can provide a detailed water well assessment that will allow you to better understand the history and condition of the well. We can also provide groundwater quality sampling, aquifer identification and characterization of existing or potential  risks.

If a new well needs to be drilled, we have the knowledge in well design and drilling services, water storage options, and groundwater monitoring capabilities to help deliver a good well.
